At The Hartford Courant from 1988-2001, I managed recruiting, training, HRIS, and performance management, and learned customer-focused quality service processes, leading teams to continuously improve performance.
I was Classified Director at The Democrat and Chronicle from 2001-2003 and then Vice President of Classifieds at The Star Tribune from 2003-2006. Led the Classified Department Automotive, Real Estate, Recruitment and Private Party Call Center teams to build solid customer relationships and provide optimum advertising solutions.

In business and personal life, nothing is more important than people. As Director of the Career Center, my goal is to support media companies and candidates in their goals of hiring, retention and career planning and development. With 18 years newspaper experience, my key achievements have been in leadership, coaching, training and teambuilding. I have managed Human Resources, Advertising and Customer Service, and have worked in three different newspapers with a strong focus on print and online products. I value journalism, and the integrity of true newspapering and I am passionate about the trust we build with customers and readers.
